Under the auspices of the Chinese Academy of Science, certain members of the ICBPC Centre are participating in a significant initiative known as the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research Program (STEP). The primary focus of the ICBPC Centre is the preservation of Rhinopithecus bieti and the promotion of sustainable development in Mt. Yunling, along with the conservation of biodiversity in the Three Parallel Rivers region. Our attention will be directed towards monitoring changes in their conservation status, distribution, and evaluating the effectiveness of conservation efforts in these areas. These findings will inform adjustments to current conservation strategies and the management of primates and other wildlife within this region.
