Congratulations to Wang Haohan on receiving his doctorate and becoming the first doctor to be trained by the International Center for Biodiversity and Primate Conservation since its establishment. Dr. Wang's research focuses on the ecological function of the black and white snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus bieti), exploring the role of succession and stability maintenance in temperate forest ecosystems, and understanding the ecological function of rare and endangered primates with specialized feeding habits. Call on the public to carry out the protection of rare and endangered from the perspective of ecosystem function.
Dr. Wang's research was mainly carried out in Yunlong Tianchi National Nature Reserve and Yunling Provincial Nature Reserve in the south of the distribution area of black and white snub-nosed monkeys, where continuous monitoring and collection of behavioral data occurs.
In the wild, the main food of the monkeys was monitored, as well as the temperature and humidity of different forest layers.
