The Executive Committee of the International Center for Biodiversity and Primate Conservation (ICBPC) selects members annually based on their contributions to the development and growth of the Center in the preceding year. These members are selected from individuals who have provided significant support to the Center or have been involved in collaborative research. The Executive Committee classifies members into three categories based on their level of contribution: Regular Members, Senior Members, and VIP Members.

As members of ICBPC, individuals are entitled to receive updates, funding, and assistance from the Center. The Center provides its members with progress reports and supports or assists members in ecological and cultural expeditions to Dali, primate studies in Northwestern Yunnan, and field visits to the Three Parallel Rivers World Heritage site. The expedition costs, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and professional scientific guides, are covered as follows:

  1. ICBPC Quarterly Report: All members will receive a quarterly update on the Center's progress, including summaries of current environmental conservation efforts, biodiversity monitoring, and ongoing research.

  2. Dali Ecological Tour: All members are entitled to support and assistance for a one-day ecological and cultural tour of Dali and its surroundings, fully funded by the Center.
Dali is a beautiful historical city located on the shores of Erhai Lake, with Dali University nestled at the foot of the Cangshan Mountains. Dali is also home to the renowned Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, dating back to the 9th century, while the ancient walled city of Dali was established in the Ming Dynasty. Dali is the traditional homeland of the Bai ethnic group.

  3. Primate Study in Northwestern Yunnan: Senior and VIP members are eligible for funding and guided expeditions to study 1-2 species of primates in Northwestern Yunnan for a duration of three days. Regular members can participate in the expeditions but are required to cover their own expenses.

  4. Three Parallel Rivers World Heritage Site Expedition: VIP members are eligible for funding and guided expeditions to the Three Parallel Rivers World Heritage Site, which covers the three major rivers of Asia (Yangtze, Mekong, and Nujiang), and traverses the three mountain ranges (Yunling, Gaoligong, and Nu Mountains). These expeditions include the study of 1-2 species of primates and visits to 1-2 long-term field observation stations operated by ICBPC.
