Rong Hou, Associate Professor, master supervisor. Professor Hou received his Ph.D. from Northwest University, China, in 2018. He also conducted a Postdoctoral at McGill University from 2019 to 2020. Since 2021, his career has been conducted at Northwest University, China, and involved in nonhuman primate behavior, nutriology, adaptation ecology, and conservation. His dynamic control model, behavior- nutrition- energy- intestinal microbiota, is based on the golden snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana) which is the northernmost distribution colobine in the world. In order to adapt to the low temperature and food shortage, they take this special neutral supply and energy balance mechanism. Such foundation made him publish more than 10 articles in the Innovation, Ecography, Functional Ecology, Journal of Animal Ecology, Zoological Research, and Conservation Biology. Also acting as the reviewer of Environment International, American Journal of Primatology, Primates, the young editor of Acta Theriologica Sinica, member of International Society of Zoological Sciences, and member of Zoological Sciences in Shaanxi.
