Membership of the Centre

ICBPC membership includes two categories: Regular Membership is open to scientists, researchers, conservationists and the general public and  subject to a yearly membership fee of US$100, and VIP membership is open to those who have made significant contributions to the Centre, either scientifically or financially. VIP members are chosen yearly by the Executive Committee.

Benefits of the membership

Both regular and VIP members will receive the Centre newsletters, which introduce and describe ongoing research and conservation projects, and the research achievements of Centre scientists.
VIP members are invited to participate in two sponsored tours each year:
  1. A one-day trip throughout Dali City, including sites of historical and cultural interest.  Dali is one of the most attractive tourism locations in China.  
  2. Ecotour: Guided by scientists, this tour includes visiting wild primate populations (1-2 species) in the Hengduan Mountains of western Yunnan, this may include the World Heritage site of The three parallel rivers: Yangtze,  Salween, and Mekong, these are the largest rivers in Asia, and the areas neighboring Tibet and Myanmar, The tour also includes sightseeing in the Yunling, Nuo, and Gaolingong Mountains, as well as visiting 1-2 field stations used by the Centre. This tour includes 3-4 days of rustic accommodation and camping.
Regular members can register for the Dali City tour at no additional cost.  Regular members are eligible to take the Ecotour, however, they will have to pay for all expenses. VIP members are eligible for a Centre paid round-trip air flight between their original destination and Dali. The Dali City tour, and the Ecotour are free to VIP members.
