Bicca-Marques, Júlio César (jcbicca@pucrs.br), Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

Professor Bicca-Marques is PhD in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign/USA. He studies behavior, ecology, cognition and conservation biology of New World monkeys and has published more than 150 journal articles and book chapters. He was President of the Brazilian Society of Primatology, Director for Research of the Latin American Primatological Society and member of the Conservation Committee of the International Primatological Society. Currently, he is Secretary General of the International Primatological Society, Member of the IUCN Primate Specialist Group, Member of the Advisory Board of the Brazilian Society of Zoology, Editor of the journal Neotropical Primates, Associate Editor of the International Journal of Primatology, Primates and Tropical Conservation Science and member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Primatology and Studies on Neotropical Fauna and Environment.
