Vice-Director Xiao Wen (xiaow@eastern-himalaya.cn), Institute of Eastern-Himalaya Biodiversity Research, Dali University

 Initiated his academic career of primate ecology, behavior and conservation from the Chinese Academic of Sciences, Professor Xiao has established the Institute of Eastern-Himalaya Biodiversity Research in Dali University.
  The projects he is involved are focusing specifically on the areas of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateaus and Mts. Hengduan, including the congruence between biodiversity and human cultural variety; the unique contribution of flag animal species to the ecosystem and conservation pressures they are facing; and ecological and conservation surveillance on the Three Parallel Rivers (the upper reaches of the Yangtze, Lancang and Nujiang).
